Cornell, California is a beautiful mountain community founded in 1911, a place surrounded by over 5,000 acres of parkland, and a place of quiet prestige that is truly cherished. 

From the 1920's through the 1950's, Cornell was a major recreational draw that brought thousands every weekend from Los Angeles and beyond to soak in famous hot springs and swim in the west coast's largest pool. It's where scenes from many notable films have been shot and that is today the outdoor home to television's legendary M*A*S*H and a place that draws motorcycle fans from all over the world.

It's the only neighborhood in Southern California where a one-room schoolhouse, a general store and post office from the 1920's and 1940's are still in use and thriving today.

Just over the hills from famous Malibu beach is the captivating community of Cornell. A very special place that deserves greater appreciation.  The Cornell Recognition Campaign is a group of residents dedicated to celebrating the past, present and future of the place they call home.
